I Made Davi Sudiarta

I Made Davi Sudiarta or known as Davi, a son of a prominent entrepreneur and artist Bapak Nyoman Sarma from Ubud, Bali. After finishing his study in accountancy in 2001, he has been involved in different areas in the art and recently the Ubud Festival.

His proficiency in today’s technology prompts him to using, both manual and digital photography. His images capture the speed in which his subjects move as seen in the Mask Dance performed during the Ubud Festival 2006. In contrast, in the Lake of Bali shows a boatman’ activities paused in silence. In the same manner, but in a different technique, the photo of Women in Kintamani - harvesting paddy, their activities and movements are deliberately being silent and the colour is achromatised by way of colour digital manipulation rendering the landscape as if in a seemingly distant planet.

Most of his inspiration derives its roots from nature. However, Davi is frequently commissioned to work on a specific subject and site by the media. Davi also works on family portraits photography for the local community.
