Ida Rastini – The Founder

Ida’s field of expertise is creativity. She has an immense capacity for creative ideas and solutions for the most challenging projects, ranging from curatorial ideas to artistic productions, and art and tourism related projects for city regeneration. Having studied Tourism in France and an MA in Arts Policy and Management in London, Ida has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to bring to any endeavour. Her interest in, and passion for, all aspects of culture propelled her into the fields of Art & Design, Artistic Production, Photography, Independent Film Productions, Southeast Asian Ancient Arts and Ecology. Ida was also the publisher of the Brighton Arts Review and London Indonesian Newsletter. She has curated several art exhibitions since 1991 and in 2006 she organised a Touring Exhibition for the work of the British and Indonesian Artists. The tour exhibition was first shown in Brighton, then in London and Bali – Indonesia.

Ida is currently involved in a public sector project to build and develop the City Museum and Cultural Centre of Probolinggo, in East Java, Indonesia. Her responsibilities cover a wide sphere of activities, directing the management and delivery of the museum's overall project. She will then also oversee the handling of collections, curating both the permanent and changing exhibitions. Finally she will be involved in developing the educational programme and looking after the provisions for working artists who are members of the Museum.

Ida believes that individuals provide the catalysts for change; enabling people to explore, realise and value their full potential through creativity.
